Hole 1

The first fairway at Canyon Creek is wide and open, but a good warm-up of more than 400 yards.

This is a generous par 5, but care must be taken to avoid the small creek that crosses the fairway about 200 yards out.

There is a scenic body of water on the left side of the fairway from just past the tee box all the way to the green. The fairway is wide on the right but there is some mounding and the occasional tree to contend with.

Swans, ducks, loons and Canada geese are all frequent visitors at the pond.
